The KATRINA vegetable cutter is a proposal for onion farmers. The machine can also be used to cut green parts of other vegetables, clean uncultivated land, cut grass in vegetable gardens, etc. Thanks to its versatility, the vegetable cutter can be mounted on the front or rear hydraulic third link without modifying the mechanical transmission and without dismantling or installing unnecessary additional elements. The design of the machine consists of a main structure, three-point suspension for the front and rear hydraulic third links respectively, an angular gearbox, belt drive, knife heads, guards and three wheels with hydraulic cylinders with the option of manual control of the automatic height or leveling.
The power requirement for the machine depends on the working width and is approximately 40 kW for the narrowest width and 70 kW for the widest width.
In the basic option, a hydraulic system is used for height adjustment for the right and left sides of the machine via two inlet pipes and two outlet pipes, controlled by the tractor's hydraulic pump.
As an option, the vegetable cutter is equipped with a control panel from the tractor cab with the choice of two operating modes: automatic mode, where the machine automatically levels during operation, and manual mode, where the height is controlled via switches on and down the left and right sides.
