The silo press has a simple structure, as it uses a screw shaft to transfer the material into the sheath. It is powered by the tractor's PTO shaft at a speed of 540 rpm through a chain drive, which reduces the rotation speed of the propeller to approximately a maximum of 270 rpm.
The Lombrico bagging machine allows you to quickly and efficiently package dry cereals or wet/dry corn in plastic sheaths, without the need to invest in expensive silos or warehouses. It can be used to bag materials such as beet pulp or corn.
The large hopper allows the machine to be loaded with a loader, although it can also be loaded with a charging trailer. The machine is equipped with a 9 inch tunnel (2.7 m liner diameter).
The hopper, with dimensions of 3.5 m x 2 m and a filling height of approximately 1 m, can accommodate, depending on the model:
Earthworm 400: approximately 3.2 m³
Lombrico 600: approximately 4.8 m³ of material for storage. The use of inspection windows allows continuous control of the amount of material in the basket.
The installation of the sheath with a diameter of 2.7 m is facilitated by a winch which allows for quick and easy installation on the machine. The silo press is therefore convenient for daily use when bagging a specific material.
The machine is equipped with a release mechanism and a brake to adjust the shredding power of the packaged material.
